1. Die-casting mold is an important process equipment in die-casting production. It plays an extremely important role in the smooth progress of production and the quality of castings. It has mutual influence and mutual restriction with die-casting production process and production operation.
2. Its important role is:
(1). Determines the casting shape and size tolerance level;
(2). The pouring system determines the filling condition of the molten metal;
(3). Control and adjust the heat balance of die casting process;
(4). The strength of the mold limits the maximum of the shot pressure;
(5). affect the production efficiency of die casting production.

It can be seen from the disassembly and assembly diagram of the die-casting die structure that the die-casting die is mainly composed of two parts: a fixed die and a moving die. The fixed die is connected with the injection part of the machine and fixed on its head plate. The movable mold is installed on the middle plate of the die casting machine and is closed or separated from the fixed mold by the movement of the middle plate of the machine.

3 Components of Die Casting Mould and Their Function
1. Fixed mold (usually called front mold):
The fixed mold is the main component of the die-casting mold. The fixed mold is connected with the injection part of the die-casting machine, and is fixed in the injection part of the die-casting machine and the gating system. It is an important part of the die-casting cavity. It is mainly composed of fixed die insert block, fixed die sleeve plate, guide post, wedge tightening block, inclined guide post, sprue sleeve, fixed die core pulling mechanism and other parts.

2. Moving mold (usually called back mold): see the above figure.
The moving mold is another important part of the die-casting mold. The moving mold is another whole that forms the forming part of the die-casting mold with the fixed mold. It is generally fixed on the middle plate of the die-casting machine and moves with the middle plate to separate and close with the fixed mold part. The general core pulling mechanism and the ejection mechanism are mostly in this part.

4. Oblique pin (usually also called oblique guide post):
Function: in the process of mold opening, forced slider movement, pull out the core type. There are two types of inner core pulling and outer core pulling, and the cross-sectional shape is mostly oblate to prevent the slider from being pulled during core pulling.
Main parameters: the size of the bevel angle α is related to the size of the core pulling force, the length of the core pulling stroke and the bending force.
The values of the oblique angle α are generally taken as: 10 °, 15 °, 18 °, 20 °, 25 °.
The diameter of the inclined pin depends on the wrapping force of the core, and the length of the inclined pin = the size of the working section of the fixed part (5~10) cm
Material: T8A, T10A, heat treatment: HRC:50~55.
5. Guide chute:
Function: A component that defines the trajectory of the slider. Material: T8A, T10A, 40CR Heat treatment: HRC 42~47.
6. Slider:
Function: The components that connect the core and the oblique pin to cooperate with the core pulling movement, and cooperate with the oblique pin to complete the core pulling action together. During on-site production, the sliding block and the guide chute are required to be properly matched, and the pulling distance shall not exceed 2/3 of the length of the guide chute. During mold clamping, the sliding block shall be subject to a certain pre-tightening force to prevent molten metal from entering the guide chute and causing the sliding block to jam.
Parameters: the height B and width c of the slider are determined by the core size. the length a of the slider is related to B and c. in order to make the slider work stably, A≥ 0.7C A≥ B is required.
Material: T8A, T10A, 40CR Heat treatment: HRC 42~47.
